Swiss Contribution

The Institute for Constructive Design (IKE) at ZHAW has many years of experience in the sustainable development of our built environment. Architecture as an interdisciplinary field combines broad knowledge with interdisciplinary cooperation and practical implementation.

Description

This project is developing a new cycle for wool so it can be used in construction as insulation and facade material.
This means less wool will be burned in ways that hurt the environment, and more people can benefit from selling and processing the wool.
Part of the project involves setting up a complete production and sales chain for insulation and facade elements. Another part of the project is the construction of a pilot building and the certification of the new building elements.
