TRITEC has been a photovoltaic system supplier for all components of photovoltaic for over 20 years and has already participated in the implementation of decentralized solar systems in Madagascar in a former developing project.

Description

Without access to grid-delivered electricity, 87% of Malagasy families use candles or kerosene lamps to illuminate their rooms at night. Social infrastructure such as schools, health centres, mayors’ offices and public spaces often do not dispose of electricity in rural areas.

The project’s main two objectives are:

1. Provision of electricity to social infrastructures in four prioritized rural villages of Southern Madagascar; operated by a local, private company.

2. Information and education on the advantages of solar electricity for low-income households in remote rural areas through Mobile Communication. Units and access to picosolar-systems, through affordable sales/renting systems.

The projects target approximately 20.000 households in the rural areas of the poorest regions of Madagascar, where there are no modern energy services available at the moment.
