Top-Ten is an international, independent, not-for-profit network encouraging energy savings for consumer goods. Its mission is to mitigate climate change through market transformation. The Top-Ten “instrument” is distinguished by its ability to combine existing activities, programs, regulations and stakeholders, in developing synergies and bringing all levels of the market to greater energy efficiency.
Description
Top-Ten International Services (TIS) started working in 2013 with Fundación Chile (FCH), a private non-profit organization, delivering high impact solutions in areas such as sustainability, education, entrepreneurship, aquaculture and foods.
Together with the Fundación Chile, comparative values and information about relevant consumer products were being developed then deployed to the Top-Ten Chile website: topten.cl. Strategic partnerships are consolidated and the relevant rules and regulations are prepared. With this project, the Top-Ten Coordination Office in Latin America aims in the long term, to assist other countries in the dissemination of this instrument.
