The Swiss project partners OST and BTFS have many years of proven expertise in project implementation in Liberia.
Description
This project focuses on a pre-commercial pilot phase to establish the technical and economic feasibility of using recycled plastic for toilet production. The specific objectives are: (1) setting up a pilot production of two types of recycled plastic toilets in Liberia; (2) to evaluate the pilot products to optimize the production process and material composition; and (3) to develop an economic and technical proof of concept and a self-sustaining business and financing model for upscaling.
