The Swiss partner has an international expertise in the field of biogas, particularly on the microgas turbines technology.
Description
The basic idea of the project is electricity generation using biogas of existing digesters on pig farms in Brazil. The accumulated biogas is normally not used and flared for security reasons. Acrona Systems intends to build about 50 plants over the next few years with a total energy output of nearly 10 MWel. Acrona acquired the exclusive distribution rights of Capstone microgas turbines for biogas plants in Brazil. Preliminary agreements with interested farmers were signed.
