A word from the REPIC Managing Agency
Dear members of the REPIC network,
As the year slowly draws to a close, REPIC looks back on a year of significant increases in requests for project support. We cordially invite you to join us at this year’s REPIC annual event, where we will review the successes and experiences of the past year.
This is an opportunity for us to thank you for your commitment, and for you to network with other players in the industry. There will be exciting presentations on current projects and the development of REPIC. There will also be a marketplace where you can talk to representatives of impact investors and selected foundations in person.
If you can’t wait until then to find out about the latest REPIC developments, last year’s annual report, which contains exciting insights, facts and figures, is available on our website.
We look forward to welcoming you to the event!

Recently started project
In Lebanon, Swiss Climate is launching a pilot project in collaboration with local partners to establish a complete value chain for producing compost enriched with biochar. Dried faeces are used to produce climate-friendly biochar, which binds CO₂ and creates new business models for a sustainable circular economy. This is an innovative way of improving resource efficiency and protecting the climate.
Ongoing project
In Benin, the Geneva-based start-up Watalux is collaborating with local partners to develop an innovative water chlorination and monitoring system. This system will enable the production of clean drinking water locally, protecting health, training local professionals, and promoting energy efficiency in water treatment.
Recently completed project
In Mali, SuisseDev collaborated with EcoTech Mali to install five solar-powered cold storage units for farmers’ cooperatives. This sustainable solution reduces crop losses, increases incomes, and strengthens the resilience of rural communities in the long term by providing training and promoting local production. Further details of the project and its outcomes can be found in the final report (in French).
In addition to the examples presented above, you will find an account of all our past and ongoing projects on our website: Repic – Portfolio.
