Geothermal energy as a renewable, independent and environmental friendly source of energy shall be studied more closely and developed in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on the medium to long term. Today, very little know-how and practical experience for the use of geothermal energy is available in the DPR Korea. Accordingly, the deployment of this technology faces considerable difficulties.
Therefore the help of an expert in geothermal energy is needed to accompany the first application of geothermal energy in the DPR Korea. Along with an on-site mission, a Swiss expert shall evaluate the ongoing pilot project and make recommendations on it, acquire an overview on the possibilities and the potential, as well as analyse the medium to long term perspectives of geothermal energy in the DPR Korea. |
