Description |
This project aims at perfecting the general procedure of photovoltaic pumping systems' simulation and optimisation, as well as its integration with PVsyst software. Firstly, this means setting up a general model that describes the pump's electric and hydraulic behaviour; which is applicable for all functioning conditions encountered in photovoltaic systems. This model should be able to ascertain a part of the data usually accessible in the manufacturers' specifications.
Next, this model must be included in a general process of the complete pumping system's simulation, on an hourly basis; while taking into account the environmental conditions (weather, user's needs, well behaviour) and the various technologies readily available (direct coupling, power converters, battery plugs, etc.)
This tool is intended for use by engineers in charge of solar pumping projects, principally in southern countries. It will also include educational elements for a better understanding of pumping systems' behavior; thus it will be of educational value for technical teaching. |
