Description	Two Swiss companies have combined their know-how for this project in order to develop a digital wind map for Nicaragua. This map will be available to the interested public and will be used in identifying suitable priority sites for the preparation of wind power plants in Nicaragua. On this basis, concrete projects will be developed by participating partners.

Swiss Contribution	Swiss experience in digital cartography and wind measurements form the project's basis. A similar map has already been created for the Switzerland. Well established partnerships with suitable local partner institutions are the groundwork of the project.
