According to its objectives, the REPIC Platform gives preference to project proposals which are realistic, sustainable, and market oriented. The measures proposed by the REPIC Platform have the objective to reduce risks and transaction costs through the support given in the pre-competitive stages. A special emphasis will be placed on non-technical aspects. The Platform concentrates on the following project categories:

REPIC Platform measures are complementary to national and international promotion instruments already existing. The foreseen measures support the cited instruments, especially in the finance area (project lines of governmental agencies involved, SOFI, mixed credits, World Bank, IFC, GEF, and others) and climate policy instruments (Kyoto mechanisms). Furthermore, the REPIC Platform measures are expected to provide for synergies among activities from the private sector and the civil. society.
