Based on the mission of the REPIC Platform, the concrete objectives, their activities and expected results are specified as follows:

With those concrete objectives the REPIC platform acquires important elements for its common strategy for the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency in the international cooperation. REPIC works in conjunction with the 4 concerned federal offices, with respect to their strategic efforts and already existing instruments. Thanks to coordination within the platform, there is no duplication of activities within the international cooperation.

Deployment of available technologies, products and know-how from Switzerland, evaluation of project proposals; support of pilot and demonstration projects; consulting facility for company cooperation; access to markets; start-up financing and co-financing of international cooperation projects: networking within programmes for the promotion of small and medium-sized enterprises in developing and transition countries. |

Membership in international bodies; active participation in international networks, coordination of the Swiss contribution in selected initiatives (for example GEF, CDM, Follow up activities on WSSD Johannesburg, especially Johannesburg Renewable Energy Coalition JREC); Swiss contribution and leading activities in selected networks (for example IEA PVPS); networking of local players; establishment and promotion of a REPIC Platform user network. |
